Changing the future - one child at a time.

Mission and Vision

                                            OUR MISSION

The Neighborhood School exists to be used of God to bring the hope that is in Jesus Christ to the children of Binghampton and their families by seeking to lead them to Him as we nurture them spiritually, mentally, and physically in order that they may become productive, self-supporting, and godly citizens.

VISION STATEMENT

Intentionally being Christ to “the least of these” by:
  • Being used by God to lead children, who had no hope to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
  • Always seeking to see our children and their families as our Lord sees them.
  • Keeping in focus that academic achievement is of great importance but pales in comparison with knowing Christ.  For if Christ is not the core, the school will quickly lose its moorings all together.
  • Providing a positive supportive environment for learning with great emphasis on the teaching of reading since a child who cannot read is very limited in his ability to grow in the understanding of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
To realize this vision:
  • Our faculty and staff must be Christians who are committed to prayer, specifically including praying together daily for at least 30 minutes before school starts.

  • Christian volunteers and prayer partners are essential to support the students, teachers, and staff.
