Connect Now!The Neighborhood School's daily operations depends on individuals who contribute their time and finances.
As a non-profit school we could not provide the level of services that we offer without the hundreds of volunteers who assist with educating and ministering to our children, maintaining our facilities, and donating their time to manage and lead many of our programs.
We find that those who volunteer fall in love with our children and what God is doing at the school. If you are interested in knowing more, click on the Volunteers link above!
The Neighborhood School is a gift from God. We pray daily for guidance for our neighborhood, school, staff, and our children. We also attempt to match each child in our school to a Prayer Partner volunteer. We invite you to join is in in this vital ministry. Click on the Prayer link above.
Our teachers and dorm parents have made a list of things they need to improve the classroom or living experience of each child. If you would like to assist them, click on the link above to view or print this list, or call 901-323-4092 to contact the school.
As a non-profit school, over 90% of our funding is from individuals, churches and concerned organizations. The remainder of our funding is from public funds for some of our Food Services Program's food and drink.
We encourage you to prayerfully consider making a donation to the daily operation of our School, Food Services Programs, After School Enrichment Programs, and Dormitory Program.

Library donations - Donate used and new children books to our library. If the library can't use them the books go to the classroom or home with our children who often don't have books at home to read. The school library does not accept paperback books.
Donate used and new adult and childrens books to our Book Warriors Club ("We sell books") - The Book Warriors Club is a business operated by our middle school school students in our Afterschool Enrichment Program. You can find their books for sell on Amazon.com. They take all hardback and paperback books except encyclopedias, magazines, and out of date text books. Any books they don't post to Amazon.com go to our school library. Provide us with your contact information.
Buy an attractively priced book for yourself, your child, family or friend. Our children in the Afterschool Enrichment Program operate the club as a business. The club's goals are to teach entrepreneurship and financial literacy. They price books to sell, manage the club’s expenses and strive for five star customer satisfaction. Funds raised from the club go toward children's mission trips, field trips and other things.

We would love to speak at your organization or church! Tari Harris, our Head of School, would enjoy talking with your organization about serving in the inner city and why The Neighborhood School is so important to our city and our nation. Donate Goods and Services
We can always use computers with Windows XP, at least 80 Gig of ram and at least 1 Gig of RAM (if you have questions give us a call.) We also can always use uniforms, school supplies, stamps, and paper. Our asphalt playground quickly destroys our kick balls, basketballs and footballs and we can always use these.
PLUS, if you are handy, we can always use someone to change light bulbs, paint, clean, etc. We would love to talk to you!
